The records show that Frederick Catley was killed on 16th June, 1916 and is commemorated on te Menin Gate memorial to the missing in Ypres. However, on this date, the 20th Hussars of the 5th Cavalry Brigade, 2nd Cavalry Division, were in billets near Cassell, many miles behind the front line. So, either the date of his death is wrong or he was temporarily attached to another unit at the time.
